NDA & NA EXAMINATION (I), 2010

  • The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has notified the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (I), 2010. The examination, for admission to Army, Navy and Air Force Wings of NDA for 125th Course and Naval Academy for 45th 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course commencing on 30th December 2010, will be held on 18th April, 2010. Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 1992 and not later than 1st July, 1994 are eligible.
  • For admission to the Army Wing of NDA, applicants should have passed 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of School Education/equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board/University.
  • For admission to the Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and for 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course of Naval Academy, applicant should have passed 12th Class of the 10+2 pattern of School Education/equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics, conducted by a State Education Board/University.
  • Those appearing in 12th Class under 10+2 pattern of School Education/equivalent can also apply. Applicant must be physically fit according to the physical standards as given in Commission’s Notice.
  • Application can be submitted in the Common Application Form of the Commission which can be purchased from designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices (as per list in Appendix-III of the Notice), against cash payment of Rs.20/-.
  • Examination fee of Rs.50/- is to be paid by all applicants (except SC/ST) through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only which has to be affixed on the application form in the space provided therein. Completed applications must reach ‘Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069’, by hand or by Post/Speed Post or by Courier, on or before the 16th November 2009.
  • In respect of candidates residing abroad or in certain remote localities specified in the Notice, the last date for receipt of applications by Post/Speed Post only (not by Hand or by Courier) is 23rd November, 2009.

 KEAM 2010 from April 19


  • The Entrance Examinations for Admission to Professional Degree Courses in Kerala for 2010 will be conducted from 19th April 2010 to 22nd April 2010.
  • Paper I-Physics & Chemistry of the Engineering Entrance Examination will be conducted on 19.04.2010 (Monday) and Paper II- Mathematics of the Engineering Entrance Examination will be on 20.04.2010 (Tuesday). Both the examinations will be from 10 am to 12.30 pm.
  • Paper I- Chemistry & Physics of the Medical Entrance Examination will be conducted on 21.04.2010 (Wednesday) and Paper II- Biology of the Medical Entrance Examination will be on 22.04.2010 (Thursday).  IIT JEE ON APRIL 11


  • The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2010 for admission to the Under Graduate Courses at the Indian Institute of Technology, Institute of Technology-Bnaras Hindu University, Varanasi and Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad will be held on 11th April 2010 (Sunday).
  • The examination will have two papers.
  • Paper I will be from 9 am to 12 noon and Paper II will be from 2 pm to 5 pm on 11th April 2010 (Sunday). Both papers will have separate sections in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics with objective type questions, designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates. The syllabus for the examination will be available at the websites of all IITs.
  • Application can be submitted on-line or off-line. Applications can be submitted online from November 1, 2009 (Sunday) to December 7, 2009 (Monday).
  • Off-line application process will commence on November 16, 2009 (Monday) and will continue till December 15, 2009 (Tuesday). The last date for receipt of completed hard copy of applications at IITs will be December 19, 2009 (Saturday).
  • Further details related to the submission of applications will be published on October 31, 2009. Details can also be had in due course at the websites of IITs.
